ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — President Donald Trump will be in metro Atlanta on Wednesday.

Why is Trump coming to Georgia?

Trump will be at Wheeler High School in Marietta. The president will be at the school to highlight the administration’s recently announced Trump Accounts investment program for children.

Trump will also use this visit for political purposes.

He is expected to be joined by Rick Jackson, the Republican candidate for governor. Rep. Mike Collins, the GOP nominee to take on Sen. Jon Ossoff in the fall, posted on social media that he would not join Trump at the event.

Trump will most likely encourage voters to vote for him in the midterms.

When will Trump be in Georgia?

Trump is expected to land at Dobbins Air Reserve Base around 1 p.m. on Air Force One.

He will then leave for Wheeler High School.

He is expected to speak around 3 p.m.

Whatever route he takes will be closed, which is usual when a president visits a region.
