Virginia Athletics | 2024-25 Schedule Announced for UVA Womens Golf

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. Virginia women's golf coach Ria Scott announced the program's 2024-25 schedule today (June 14). The list includes a pair of international tournaments and two home events, including the 2025 NCAA Charlottesville Regional.

We always try to provide our student-athletes with competition that prepares them to be champions and provide them with world-class experiences, Scott said. This year's schedule accomplishes that, in addition to two special opportunities to compete at home.

We value the opportunity to provide our team with competitive advantages and potentially life-changing experiences. We look forward to another year of a diverse schedule and then next May we will host the first-ever NCAA Women's Regional in Birdwood.

The Cavaliers head overseas to open the season on September 4-6 at the Pan-Pacific UGSL tournament at Grand Fields Country Club in Mishima, Japan. With Mount Fuji as the backdrop, the Cavaliers will compete against collegiate-level teams from Japan and South Korea.

Virginia will host the Cavalier Regional Preview at Birdwood Golf Course September 23-24. With UVA set to host an NCAA Regional site in the spring, the Regional Preview will attract a top field as teams look to gain experience at Birdwood before the postseason. The teams that will participate are Augusta, Charlotte, Illinois, Iowa, Georgetown, Maryland, North Carolina, NC State, Penn State, Richmond and Tennessee.

The Cavaliers close out the fall with signature stops at Northwestern's Windy City Collegiate Classic (September 30-October 1) and at the Stanford Intercollegiate (October 18-20).

UVA opens the spring portion of its schedule by hosting the Collegiate Invitational for the fourth time at Guadalajara Country Club. The tournament takes place in the center of Mexico's seventh largest city and has a unique format of 27 holes per day.

Back-to-back trips to Florida are planned for the Hoos. UVA will play at the Louisvilles Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne (Feb. 17-19) before making its inaugural appearance at the Floridas Gators Invitational in Gainesville (March 7-9).

The Cavaliers will merge a pair of match play events The Old Barnwell in Aiken, SC (March 28-30) and the Wolfpack Match Play in Raleigh, NC (April 7) around an opportunity to play the Honors Course at the Chattanooga Classic (March 28-30).

The postseason kicks off when the Cavaliers travel to Sedgefield Country Club for the ACC Championships (April 16-19). UVA will host the NCAA Charlottesville Regional for the first time at Birdwood Golf Course from May 5-7.

The NCAA Championships return to the Omni LaCosta Resort in Carlsbad, California (May 16-21) to determine the individual and team national champions. UVA placed 28th in the event last season. It marked the 14th time the Cavaliers have advanced to the national championship tournament in the program's 21-year history.
