Seven engineers honored as AHCA Krampade Scholar All-Americans
GLOUCESTER, Mass.—The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCH) has announced its annual KrampadeScholar All-American honorees, with four men and three women representing Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) hockey on this year's prestigious list.
About Nick Ardan, Max Smolinski, Nick StromAnd Jack Watson earned the award for the engineering men, while Meg Hildner, Maddy PapineauAnd Audrey McCutcheon of the RPI women's team were each honored.
For Hildner, 2023-2024 marks the third straight season in which she has qualified for the award, while Ardanaz, Smolinski and Strom all received the honor for the second year in a row. Watson will also be a repeat recipient, as he also received the title in 2021-2022.
To be eligible, a student-athlete had to appear in 40% of their team’s games and maintain a 3.75 GPA for each semester of the academic year. A total of 610 Division I hockey student-athletes (318 men, 292 women) were recognized as Krampade ScholarAll-Americans in 2023-24.
