Men's tennis sweeps on day 2 of ITA Regional
PHILADELPHIA The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team won 10-2 on day two of the ITA Northeast Regional. The team's performance was highlighted by a 4-0 record in doubles.

The day started with the Round of 64 Doubles in which the Quakers were swept. Tal Goodman / Parashar Bharadwaj And Manfredi Graziani / Sanjeev Chundu made their season debut and won against teams from Saint Francis and Fairleigh Dickinson. Shaurya Bharadwaj / Justin Chung And Baylor Sai / Matthew Rutter recorded victories against Hofstra.
On the singles side, the Red and Blue went 6-2.
Goodman set the tone against Mercyhurst, dominating his match 6-0, 6-3.
Baylor Sais match was the highlight of the singles match. It was a back-and-forth affair between himself and Tobey Lock (Delaware). After an impressive 6-0 victory in the first set, Sai left the second set 3-6 behind. In a grueling third set, which culminated in a tiebreak, Sai won 7-6 (5).
In his first ITA Regional, Shaurya Bharadwaj showed up against top 16 seed Sam Edgar (St. John's) and won 6-1, 6-1.
Lucas Butera went toe-to-toe against a Princeton opponent, but ultimately ran out of gas in the third set.
Graziani carried his momentum from his strong performance at the ITA All-American Championships, winning his match against Temple 6-4, 6-3.
Chundu rounded out the singles side for the Quakers. After his first set ended in a tiebreaker, he defeated Gabriel Berner (Monmouth) in the second set.
