Rice Women’s Tennis earns four CSC Academic All-District Honors
Senior Darya Schwartzmanjuniors Divna Ratkovic And Uma Bakaityteand sophomores Francesca Maguina earned the honor for Rice. Schwartzman and Ratkovic were selected to advance to the Academic All-America voting. Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 2, 2026.
Schwartzman, a senior from Israel, has a GPA of 3.88 while double majoring in psychological sciences and health sciences. She posted an overall record of 15-11 in singles and went 8-8 in doubles matches, while posting a 15-8 record in doubles, including a 9-6 mark in doubles. Schwartzman and partner Bakaityte finished the season ranked No. 59 in the ITA doubles rankings. She also earned a spot on the American All-Conference team.
Ratkovic, a junior from Montenegro, has a GPA of 3.73 while double majoring in economics and sports management. She was named Rice Women’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year this season. Ratkovic posted an overall record of 23-6 in singles and went 17-2 in doubles matches, including five match-clinching points for the Owls. She also compiled a 19-10 record in doubles and a mark of 12-6 in doubles. Ratkovic was named the American Conference Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, earning all-conference honors.
Bakaityte, a junior from Lithuania, has a 4.0 GPA and studied sports medicine and exercise physiology. She finished the season 14-14 in singles, including an 8-10 record in doubles, while posting a 16-9 record in doubles and a 7-6 mark in doubles. She and Schwartzman finished the season ranked No. 59 in the ITA doubles rankings.
Maguina, a sophomore from Peru, has earned a 3.83 GPA while double majoring in business management economics and organizational sciences. She posted an overall record of 24-10 in singles and went 16-4 in doubles matches while leading the team with six match-clinching points. In doubles, Maguina finished 13-12 overall and 8-8 in doubles competition.
