Women’s tennis trio named Academic All-District® Team
A nominee must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better. Graduate student-athletes must meet the 3.50 threshold as undergraduate and graduate students. CSC will release its Academic All-America® list on Tuesday, June 2.
Lutkemeyer has been named Academic All-America® twice, earning third-team honors in 2025 and 2024. The senior’s on-court resume has grown in 2025-2026, with her selection as a Hurd Award finalist topping the list of accomplishments. Lutkemeyer was also a unanimous selection to the All-Big Ten First Team and was selected as one of the conference’s Sportsmanship Honorees. She posted a 13-7 record in singles, including a 9-5 mark against nationally ranked play, climbing herself to No. 11 on the ITA list. Lutkemeyer also finished with a 12-6 record in doubles.
Center has six team victories, the last of which was a 4-3 victory against San Diego State in the opening round of the NCAA Championship (May 1). The sophomore defeated Vesa Gjinaj in three sets to complete a comeback for Bruin. Center finished with a score of 15-8 in singles (14-7 in doubles) and a score of 12-7 in doubles.
