EUROPEAN PARA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2027 ANNOUNCES SPORT FOR GENEVA
The organization of the 2027 European Para Championships today announced the 12 sports that will be on the program in Geneva, Switzerland. The quadrennial multi-sport event for top athletes with a physical disability will be held from August 2 to 15, 2027 in and around the Palexpo complex in Geneva.
The following sports are on the program for the 2027 edition:
- Dish
- Blind football
- Target ball
- Wheelchair rugby
- When taekwondo
- Para archery
- For badminton
- Para table tennis
- Wheelchair basketball 3×3
- Wheelchair tennis
- For judo
- For climbing
This line-up shows how the number of sports is growing compared to the previous edition. It further strengthens the multi-sport character of the event, with more opportunities for different disciplines within one championship.
This trend is continued and further developed in Geneva. For two weeks, more than 2,000 athletes from all over Europe will gather in and around Palexpo to compete at the highest level for European titles and qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
