Massachusetts Hockey announces 2026-2027 schedule

The Minutemen open their 11^e season under head coach Greg Carvel on Friday and Saturday, October 2-3 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at Colorado College.

UMass will host RIT for its home opener during Homecoming Weekend on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 9-10.

The Hockey East slate begins with a game against Northeastern at the Mullins Center on Friday, Oct. 16, while the second game of the weekend against the Huskies in Amherst on Saturday, Oct. 17 is a non-league contest.

On Saturday, Oct. 24, UMass will host Stonehill for the first time before closing the month with a home-and-home against Harvard. The set against the Crimson begins on Thursday, October 29 in Cambridge and ends on Friday, October 30 in Amherst.

November starts with a weekend in Maine for the Minutemen on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7.

UMass will then play home-and-home series with both Boston College (11/13, 11/14) and Providence (11/19, 11/21), each starting at the Mullins Center.

The Minutemen will host Northeastern on Saturday, December 5, before closing out the semester with a pair against Hockey East champion Merrimack. UMass heads to North Andover to take on the Warriors on Friday, December 11th and concludes its 2026 home series on Saturday, December 12th.

For the second time in program history, the Minutemen travel to the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The tournament, to be held on Tuesday, December 29 and Wednesday, December 30, includes Arizona State, Northern Michigan and Wisconsin in addition to UMass.

The Minutemen open the 2027 season on Friday, January 8 against Boston University before beginning a six-game homestand when the team hosts the Terriers on Saturday, January 9.

The Amherst stretch continues with a pair against Vermont (1/22, 1/23) and some games against Northeastern (1/29) and New Hampshire (1/30) before concluding with a Tuesday meeting against UMass Lowell on Feb. 2.

UMass concludes its season series against UNH on Friday, February 12 (away) and Saturday, February 13 (home) and completes the three-game series against UMass Lowell on Friday, February 19 (home) and Saturday, February 20 (away).

The Minutemen host UConn for their regular season finale on Thursday, February 25 and take on the Huskies in Hartford on Saturday, February 27.

UMass then closes the regular season on Friday, March 5 at Boston College.
