New Skoda Vision GT electric supercar concept revealed

The car also features active aerodynamics, with a rear panel that moves and becomes nearly vertical during hard braking, giving the GT extra stopping power and grip.

The Vision GT is a single-seater like a Formula E car, with bucket seats and a futuristic steering wheel with various function controls to operate different aspects of the car. These include a launch control system that provides maximum acceleration from a standstill. On the more sensible side, it also features blind spot monitoring.

The GT has an 87kWh battery and four electric motors (all-wheel drive). Skoda has also developed a bespoke engine sound for this car.

While the Vision GT won't be coming to a showroom near you, four upcoming Skoda models and two facelifts will share styling cues with the single-seater. Unfortunately, it doesn't come in the form of a sports car, but it is an electric car.

The first will be a small SUV called Elroq. It is scheduled to go on sale in the summer of 2024, and will be sold alongside the current Skoda Karoq for a short period of time until it is replaced by the current Skoda Karoq.

In 2025, an unnamed small SUV will join the lineup with a focus on affordability, along with the facelifted Skoda Enyaq and Skoda Enyaq Coup.

A production version of the Skoda Vision 7S Concept seven-seater SUV (pictured above) is also in development for 2026. An all-electric Skoda Estate car is also planned for the same year.

Like the Vision 7S, the Vision GT is painted in matte Explorer Green. This color will be available once these new models reach the production stage. It also features T-shaped headlights reminiscent of the Vision GT.

The Vision GT's exterior design also takes inspiration from the 1957 Škoda 1100 OHC Spider, while the second available paint scheme pays homage to the 1977 Škoda 130 RS rally car.

The Vision GT will join over 400 vehicles in Gran Turismo 7 as part of the April 25 software patch.
