Realme 3 Pro starts receiving a new update with support for Wi-Fi calls in India
Realme released a new Over The Air (OTA) update for February that adds voice calls over Wi-Fi (VoWiFi) for Realme 3 Pro users, as well as other changes. The update version RMX1851EX_11.C.03 will have a staged rollout, which means it will initially only be available to certain users. It updates Realme 3 Pro to the latest Android security patch and some issues that users have complained about. Realme will send the update to more users in a few days and after testing the bugs, it will be rolled out to all users.
the Update RMX1851EX_11.C.03 adds VoWiFi functionality for Realme Pro 3 users who use Airtel and Jio services in India. VoWiFi (or Wi-Fi calling) essentially allows users to make calls over the Internet. This means that indoors, where your mobile signal may not be as strong, if you are connected to a fast WiFi network, this connection can be used to make calls instead. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth also consulted Twitter and sharing a list of phones that received VoWiFi in February. These include Realme 5, Realme 5s, Realme X, Realme XT and a few others.
The update also fixes the task lock limitation prompt reported in the recent interface. Another fix made by the update concerns the power-off countdown pop-up window that remained dark when users turned dark mode off during the countdown. Realme 3 Pro users receive the latest security patch of February 2020 with this update.
To check if you have received the latest update, go to settings > Software updates and you should see it there. If you want to install the update manually, start with Download from the website and transfer it to your device's built-in memory. Then go to settings > Additional parameters > Backup and reset > Backup restoreand save your data. When done, go to File Manager and tap on the update file. In the pop-up window, tap Update now and wait for it to finish.
