Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War gets exclusive zombie mode on PS4 / PS5

PlayStation owners can enjoy another exclusive Call Of Duty mode, but Xbox and PC owners have to wait a year.

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War Zombie Mode is available in all formats, but there is one special option that is only available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

In a two-player co-op mode called Zombies Onslaught, your goal is to survive the zombie waves that do everything in the game’s multiplayer map.

The new trailer gives you a quick glimpse of some of the different types you’ll encounter, such as large herds of zombies, dog-like zombies, and giant zombies in radiation suits.

Players who survive long enough will also unlock exclusive rewards. Good news for PlayStation fans, but good news for everyone else.

The trailer confirms that the mode will be the Xbox and PC versions, but it will not occur until November 2021, one year after its release.

This didn’t work for Xbox and PC players. Some of the trailer comments comment that by that time everyone is likely to move to the new Call Of Duty game.

Others have also pointed out the Cold War sarcasm of providing cross-play, but it locks the mode to a particular console and there is no limit to the tagline for PlayStation 5s, which is Play.

This is not the first time this has happened. Last year’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare had a survival mode dedicated to PlayStation 4, which was very offensive to the Xbox and PC players of the time and was only added to other versions earlier this month.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be released on November 13 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
