Dodgers donate raffle proceeds to Venezuela earthquake relief – NBC Los Angeles

The Dodgers Foundation and the Los Angeles Dodgers announced Tuesday that raffle proceeds from Wednesday’s game will benefit relief efforts for communities affected by recent earthquakes in Venezuela.

Net proceeds from the 50/50 raffle will be donated to the American Red Cross Earthquake Fund in Venezuela, which provides emergency medical care, food assistance, clean water, shelter, sanitation and other humanitarian assistance, according to officials.

The Dodgers will match the foundation’s contribution, doubling the amount raised, the team said.

Fans attending Wednesday’s game at Dodger Stadium between the Dodgers and Colorado Rockies can purchase raffle tickets from vendors throughout the stadium or at designated raffle kiosks until the end of the seventh inning.

Half of the grand prize in the drawing will be awarded to the winning ticket holder, while the remaining net proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross, officials said.

Organizers said they are shipping the donations to a non-profit organization in Venezuela called Children’s Aid, which will then distribute the items. Camilla Rambaldi reports for NBC4 News at 11pm on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

The relief effort comes in the wake of two powerful earthquakes that struck an area about 100 miles west of Caracas last month, causing widespread devastation, displacing thousands of people and damaging homes, schools, hospitals and other vital infrastructure, and leaving thousands feared dead.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation said it has invested more than $80 million in programs and grants to support education, health, homelessness prevention and social justice initiatives in Los Angeles.
