French TikTok highlights Orbeez experience going awry
A French TikTok designer apparently destroyed his bathroom – and his city's sewer system – after pouring an irresponsible amount of pearls absorbing Orbeez water into his bathtub.
For those who don't know, orbeez are pearls that start out small, and then reach roughly the size of a marble after being submerged in water for a while.
They seem mostly harmless in small amounts, but the French star of TikTok "cyril" demonstrated how the innocent little pearls can essentially be militarized when a large amount of them are put in a bathtub filled with # 39; water.

Twitter user @yuqheis caught the attention of the English-speaking Internet on Cyril's Orbeez saga with a thread of his TikTok videos recording the unfortunate experience.
The Frenchman starts by throwing boxes and boxes of water-absorbing beads in his bathtub full of water and filming the results.
As you would expect, the orbs did their job and absorbed all the water from the tub – but Cyril got in trouble when he tried to get rid of it by opening the drain.
Instead of going down the drain, the water-filled balls went up into his sink and toilet, causing an incredible and hilarious mess.

After trying to rinse and empty the balls, cyril decided to try to vacuum them – a plan that worked for the first Orbeez, before his vacuum cleaner caught fire. Collecting them in a bucket would probably have been much more effective.
In addition to this, they also appear to have invaded his city's sewer system, as he began to find them in the sewers and around random public plumbing.

Apparently the police have finally started to search for the perpetrator who introduced a dangerous quantity of children's toys into the city's water supply, but it is not known whether cyril is ever brought to justice, unless you speak French.
M.Beast performed a similar experiment in 2018 by putting 100 million Orbeez in his friends pool. The results were similar to those of Cyril, but the YouTube star certainly had a better way to get rid of orbs.

Even Sonic the Hedgehog's official account participated in the action, pleading with followers not to fill their "Puyo" tubs.

There is also no solid evidence that this disaster actually happened, and it was not just something that was organized for some TikTok influence.
False or not, it's probably not a good idea to fill your tub with Orbeez unless you have a solid water ball disposal plan in place.
