Jordanians in Irbid feel the earthquake that struck the valley

An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale hit the Wadi Araba region this morning, according to the Jordanian Earthquake Observatory (JSO) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The head of the Jordanian Seismological Observatory, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Qaryouti said in a statement to Roya that the earthquake hit the area about 24 km west of Irbid Governorate, at a depth of 9 km.

He added that the earthquake was felt by the residents of the northwestern regions of the Kingdom, noting that all earthquake monitoring stations of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recorded this.

A number of Jordanians living in Irbid went to social media platforms, and reported that they felt the earthquake this morning.

JSO also recorded another earthquake measuring 2.8 on the Richter scale on the Palestinian coast at 6:53 this morning.

And hit the area about 50 km northwest of the city of Haifa, at a depth of 10 km.
