Clark County Provides Earthquake Safety Alerts in Support of Great Nevada Tremor

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – On Thursday, October 21, all residents across Nevada are encouraged to review safety procedures for what to do in the event of an earthquake.

The Great Shakeout is a global event that encourages individuals and organizations to participate in an annual earthquake safety training.

Participants are asked to organize 60-second “drop, cover and hang” drills on Thursdays at district schools, businesses, government agencies, homes and other locations.

Clark County is among more than 540,000 participants registered on the Nevada Great ShakeOut to participate in exercises this year.
