According to the Canada earthquake, a 4.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of British Columbia. On Friday evening, May. 22.

The agency notes that the earthquake was 8 km deep and located 129 km west of Port Alice on Vancouver Island. The event was held at 7:14 pm. No tsunami warning was issued as a result.

There are no reports of damage, and none is expected.

Gina Halls, her Kagoagh Lodge owner in Quatsino on Vancouver Island, told Is Awesome in a phone call that she didn’t feel the earthquake. However, she says that she felt earlier this week while she was in bed.
