Chicago agents were at the convention in protest, at video screenings
Thirteen Chicago police officers slept and slept on June 1 in the office of U.S. Representative Bobby Rush, as protests and robberies took place across the city, Rush and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said.
Officers, including three drivers, were seen in the video sleeping in Rush’s office, sleeping, eating congressional pigeons and talking on the phone, Rush and Lightfoot said.
The mishap erupted after Rush reviewed security camera footage in his office, the mayor explained in a news release. The campaign office was shattered on Sunday, May 31, when the nearby gang trade was caught, Lightfoot told CNN. Police said they entered the campaign office on Monday, June 1st.
