Kishida meets villagers in Fukushima about lifting evacuation order

Katsurao, Fukushima Prev. – Prime Minister Fumio Kishida on Sunday met with residents of a village in Fukushima Prefecture, part of which will see the lifting of the evacuation order due to the 2011 nuclear disaster on June 12.

In the northeastern village of Katsurao, the order will be canceled in a designated area as a reconstruction and revitalization base. The base will be the first in the so-called hard-to-return region to permanently host the population again.
