New Documentary about the 2017 Mexico Earthquake

The 7.1-magnitude earthquake that struck Mexico City and surrounding areas at 1:14 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2017, killed more than 350 people, injured thousands, and destroyed more than 1,000 buildings.

Five years later, a documentary tells the story of the families affected by the earthquake, the efforts to rebuild damaged homes, and the desire of a group of volunteers striving to restore hope to all Mexicans who lost everything after the disaster.

The film is titled 13:14: El Reto de Ayudar and is produced by Mexican actors Eugenio Derbez and Juanpa Zurita. In addition to being in charge of production, Zurita also stars in this documentary.

The trailer for the Amazon original, released this week, features Zurita who, in his eagerness to collaborate, has brought together singers, actors, content makers, celebrities from the entertainment world, architects and experts, to raise funds and support the reconstruction of damaged homes in the town of Uquilan, Mexico.

“A lot of public figures joined, and suddenly I didn’t know who he was anymore,” Zurita said, noting the wave of positive responses he received when promoting the initiative.

During the reconstruction work, the team faced several challenges, including accusations of alleged misappropriation of funds that went viral on social media and in the press. This made many victims stop believing in the project, as can be seen in the trailer.

Those involved in the production responded to these criticisms by showing their true intentions with hard work, perseverance and honesty.

13:34 El Reto de Ayudar is directed by Mexican director Santiago Fabregas, who also worked as a director on the Televisa series El Candidato Rayo and the second season of Las Crónicas del Taco, which aired on Netflix.

Fabregas’ documentary is executive produced by well-known comedian Eugenio Derbez, Ben Odell and Javier Williams, head of Spanish production at 3Pas Studios, along with Arco Entertainment with JuanPa Zurita and Brenda Tubilla also serving as executive producers.

The film was shot over four years, giving the crew 150 hours of unpublished material.

13:34: The Help Challenge will be released on September 11th. 16 Exclusively on Prime Video.

View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price.
