Jagran Team, Haldwani: I felt an earthquake in Kumon. These tremors were felt in Pithuragarh and Bageshwar districts. Once the earthquake hit, people panicked and just ran out of their homes in the rain. However, no damage has been reported due to this.

Earthquake in Mansyari Pithuragarh

An earthquake occurred in Munsyari district of Pithuragarh district. The quake was felt by people at about 3:47 pm. According to the Disaster Management Department, the quake had a magnitude of 3.9. The depth was 10 km. The earthquake has not yet reported any damage. It was also not possible to ascertain the epicenter of the earthquake.

The earthquake tremor was also felt in Bageshwar district. According to the information from tehsils, there is no information about any kind of damage. It was raining when the earthquake occurred. Because of this, people panicked and ran out of homes.

It is raining in Kumon now and it lasts three days. In such a situation, people are afraid of earthquake. There was a fear in people’s minds of a great catastrophe. However, no loss of life or property has been reported so far.
