A robotic scientist – who can increase the pace of scientific discovery – has been developed by researchers at the University of Liverpool. Technology is part of what the Royal Society of Chemical Chemistry has called the new digital age for science. According to the organization, artificial intelligence and robotics will be essential to sustain research and development – including the search for coronavirus treatments – as they move rapidly through social distance when fewer human scientists are able to enter laboratories.
