A slight earthquake by Borrego Springs shakes southern California Monday evening

The initial volume was reported at 3.4, and the depth was reported to be about 7 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. No damage was reported.

A slight earthquake occurred in Southern California shortly after 7:30 pm Monday, six miles north of Borrego Springs.

Initially it was reported to be 3.4, with a depth of about 7 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

People from the Coachella Valley to San Diego have reported feeling the earthquake, according to the USGS crowdsourcing tool.

Borrego Springs is located about 40 miles southeast of Palm Springs

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
