Hong Kong chief Carrie Lam has refused to resign after saying the audio could leak.

On Monday, a recording of a private meeting was set up, which read: "If I have the opportunity, it's time to leave."

He said on Tuesday he had "never resigned," but did not deny the veracity of the recording.

Hong Kong has been protesting against the government for months.
