A 3.9-magnitude earthquake jolted residents of the area from Pleasanton to La Vernia around 11:22 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the US Geological Survey and other sources that track seismic activity, the earthquake shook south-central Texas shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday.

People from Pleasanton to Floresville and La Vernia reported feeling the earthquake, at 11:22 PM on July 18; The epicenter was east of Pleasanton. Several sources indicate a magnitude of 3.9 at a depth of about two miles.
