The United Kingdom has suspended its extradition agreement with Hong Kong – BBC News

The UK government will suspend its extradition agreement with Hong Kong “immediately and indefinitely”. Announcing the move, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said the UK wants a “positive relationship” with China. But the “imposition” of Hong Kong’s new security law said Beijing was “seriously violating” the country’s international obligations. He said the work will support changes to the law by taking a step “in the right direction”. The disappearance treaty means that if someone in Hong Kong is suspected of having a crime in the UK, then the British authorities will ask Hong Kong to hand them over to deal with justice, and vice versa. The UK fears the organization has been running for more than 30 years. This extradites anyone who sends Hong Kong to China. #BBCOS #BBCOutsideSource Please subscribe HERE .
