Nile dam conflict: Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan agree to resume talks – BBC News
As noted in Ethiopia, it is the first year to fill the controversial mega dam on the Nile River. This would allow the first turbine set to be tested. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s announcement was agreed by Ethiopia, Egypt and Sudan on the resumption of talks on the dam, following a virtual summit. The project has been under tremendous diplomatic tension since construction began in Ethiopia in 2011. In Ethiopia, the hydroelectric project is seen as essential for economic growth and an essential source of energy. #BBCOS #BBCOutsideSource Please subscribe HERE .
