The Barrister Secret: Justice in a pandemic

Last week, we heard about the problems in the criminal justice system in England and Wales by anonymous author known as the Secret Barrister. From cuts and enclosures and in retroactive cases; our poor record of rape; only the rich can cleanse the name; and to those who are left without any justice. In the final installment of our series, we hear what Covid-19 has done to a system that is already struggling. As the bartenders fail, the mountain of cases to be heard grows and the division of the jurors is distorted.
