New Delhi Jagran News Bureau: The decades-long wait for the construction of a large Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which is believed to be the birthplace of the Hindu deity Lord Ram, will end on August 5 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi sets the cornerstone of the temple after the Bhoomi Bogan ceremony. Speaking with Dainik Jagran, Ashish Sompura, architect of Ram Temple, said that the proposed temple would be built in ‘Nagar Shaili’, one of the three main styles of North Hindu architecture. Most of the temples were built in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh in “Najjar Shayli”.

The Temple of Ram will have a relatively smaller entrance and a large residence preserving the North Indian styles of Nagara architecture. In the temples of South India, it has a large entrance and a small residence in keeping with the Dravidian architecture.

Sompora said that to ensure a longer life of the temple, the soil will be tested under 200 feet from the ground and the depth of the base will be determined according to the results of the soil test. Also, more than 10,000 worshipers will be able to get Lord Darshan together.

In anticipation of the temple, supporters of Ram Temple have cut and stored stone for the temple for years. However, many questions are now being asked about its quality. Speaking of that, the architect of the Ram Temple said that only the carved stones will be used in the workshop.

The sandstone was brought in to build the Ram Temple from Rajasthan, which is the best quality stone in its class. The famous Akshardham temple in Delhi was also built on the same sandstone.
