Obesity plans to end unhealthy “buy a free buy” in England – BBC News

A new strategy in England is to ban people from losing weight by “buying one for free” to help them lose weight. In addition, TV commercials for healthy food will be banned before 9pm and new conditions for menus to show calories. In England 63% of adults are overweight or living with obesity and obese people with Covid-19 are seriously ill. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said he is struggling with his weight and has asked people to take steps to improve their health.
