At the start of the 2003 Iraq War, more than 600 journalists and photographers gave their consent to the U.S. government inserting reports to continue the conflict. Photographer Ashley Gilbertson is working for The New York Times when she has a U.S. Navy battalion in Fallujah. Fallujah, 40 kilometers from Baghdad, would be the deadliest battle they have been fighting since the Vietnam War.
