Turkey: We supported the rehabilitation of municipal water networks, helping more than 80,000 people access clean water, and rehabilitated a 3,200 cubic meter water tank at the Kahramanmaraş Temporary Shelter Center serving 28,000 people. Oxfam has installed 1,285 latrines, 731 shower rooms and 221 improved toilets for people with disabilities. We distributed 9,311 hygiene kits, 2,504 hygiene cash vouchers (to help people buy hygiene items), 684 baby kits, 1,169 elderly kits, 15,641 menstrual kits and dignity kits/cash vouchers.

Syria: Oxfam provided drinking water by truck to more than a million people in shelters. We cleaned the water tanks in these collective shelters, serving more than 24,000 people, and installed communal water tanks (filled daily) serving approximately 39,000 people. We have ensured that the latrines in the collective shelters are clean and safe to use, and have appointed 30 trained shelter latrine workers to supervise the cleaning process as well as provide latrine cleaning tools. This assistance reached 94,124 people. Oxfam has helped repair and improve water and sanitation systems serving 2.4 million people. Oxfam trained 63 hygiene promoters who reached 98,366 people, and we distributed basic hygiene kits to 326,730 people.
