False earthquake alarms were issued in northern Israel due to explosions in Lebanon

The Israeli military announced that earthquake warning alerts in northern Israel, including areas around Haifa, the Galilee region and the occupied Golan Heights, were triggered in error due to controlled explosions of Hezbollah munitions in Lebanon.

According to an Israeli military spokesman, “The explosions heard in northern Israel were due to Israeli military activities in Lebanon, and there is no security incident in the region.”

Military sources added that the relationship between these warnings and “Israeli military activities” is currently being examined, especially with regard to the mistaken launch of attack alerts.
