This is the dramatic moment Israel dropped a so-called 'seismic bomb' on Syria, with the explosion so powerful that it was measured on the Richter scale.

Israel launched what appeared to be its largest attack on Syria since the fall of the Assad regime on Sunday, sending a mushroom cloud into the sky that could be seen for miles.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that a video clip circulated online shows the stunning explosion that was unleashed on northwestern Syria near the city of Tartous.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Israel launched the attack on a weapons depot, while it continues its attacks on Syria in the wake of the collapse of the Assad dictatorship.

Israel bombed Syria with a wave of missile strikes on Sunday, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

He added that the wave of attacks represents “the most violent strikes in the Syrian coastal region since the strikes began in 2012.”

This comes at a time when Foreign Secretary David Lammy announced that the United Kingdom would provide aid worth 50 million pounds to the Syrians after the fall of the Assad regime.

The Foreign Ministry said emergency support will be provided through UN agencies and NGOs to people in the country, as well as to refugees in Lebanon and Jordan.

On Saturday, Britain joined the talks in Aqaba, hosted by Jordan and attended by ministers and delegates from the United States, France, Germany, the Arab Contact Group, Bahrain, Qatar, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the European Union and the United Nations.

They agreed on the importance of a “representative, non-sectarian government,” the protection of human rights, unrestricted access to humanitarian aid, the safe destruction of chemical weapons, and the fight against terrorism.

“The UK urges the transitional government to adhere to these principles to build a more hopeful, secure and peaceful Syria,” the Foreign Office said on Sunday.

The ministry said around £120,000 in British funding had also been provided to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
