A tree planted in London is a memorial for the victims of the Cypriot earthquake

A tree in London was planted on Saturday to commemorate 24 Cypriot children and 11 Cypriot adults who died when the hotel where they were staying in Turkey collapsed during the 2023 earthquake.

The 35th Cypriots were among the 72 people who died when the Esias Hotel collapsed in the city of Adaman, southeast of Turkey, in the early hours of February 6, 2023.
