An earthquake that shakes western Washington early Saturday

The earthquake of parts of Washington shook early on Saturday morning. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS), an OPPRNER earthquake struck around 3:45 am

People reported their feeling of the earthquake in Oborn, Primerton, Enumclaw, Kent, Marysville, Seattle, Renton, Tacoma, Graham and Olympia.

Frank Linzi, news manager at Kiro Newsradio, said he felt a five -second vibration while he was reading at his home in Takoma. “I thought it was the cat,” Linzi said. “I thought he was scratching and shaking it.” However, the cat was several feet away in her bed.

“The doors were a kind of shaking on the hinges,” said Linzi Maxin's wife. “The entire bed was shaking, though. When we knew that it should be something else.”

No damage was reported in Linzi's house, and there were no reports of any major damage elsewhere.
