February 25, 2025 – The 4.0 Middle Croatian earthquake struck Tuesday, shaking the region and disturbing residents.

The strong earthquake was registered near Petrinja on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 12:52 pm.

The Croatian earthquake service reported that the earthquake center was near Taboršte, about 3 km southeast of Petrinja.

The earthquake reached the size of 4.0 on the Richter scale, with the V -VI's intensity on the EMS scale.

The tremor was widely felt in the surrounding areas, including Cisac and Jalina.

Many residents have moved to the European Earthure Center (EMSC) to share their experiences. One of the residents wrote: “I felt like a bomb exploded.” Another said: “He shook hands with a multi -tons excavator like a game.” “It was a strong tremor, terrifying,” added a third.

Although no major damage was reported, the tremor was widely perceived, as many described it as a strong and frightening tremor.
