A huge earthquake of 7.7 people killed at least 1650 people in Myanmar and Thailand, leaving the area to reel while rescuers choose through vast piles of rubble to find missing people.

Thousands of their buildings came out of scenes of panic and chaos after the earthquake was almost hit in the middle of Friday, causing the collapse of many structures in one of the worst earthquakes in the region.

What happened and why?

At approximately 6 am GMT, a huge earthquake was recorded in central Myanmar.
