The Thai Chinese company denies safety measures in the investigation of the collapse of a skyscraper after the earthquake

Bangkok (AP)-Thailand Centian Company on Monday rejected the allegations of steel bars that did not pass the safety tests after it prompted criticism at the country level to investigate the collapse of a famous building under construction after an earthquake last month in Bangkok.

The company's factory raided on April 11 to obtain evidence, saying that samples of steel products confiscated by the authorities after their suspension in December had already failed tests.

The company's legal team opposed on Monday that the test results in a press conference, stressing that all of its products have passed safety tests and that they were not fairly treated by the authorities. However, they refused to comment when they were specifically asked about the results of the company's steel bars test at the collapse site.

Earlier this month, the Ministry of Revenue filed a complaint accusing Shen Ki Yuan of issuing more than 7,000 false tax bill. On Monday, the company's lawyers denied any violations.

The Thai authorities say that the search for missing workers is still continuing.
