Selling a yard in Vernon will help build homes in earthquake-hit Nepal.

The Kalamalka Rotary Club project in Nepal plans to reconstruct two homes in the remote Aprik Village which relies on subsistence farming.

All the village homes and its school were destroyed in the 2015 earthquake.

Due to Kalamalka Rotary’s previous commitment to the village, a school of eight classrooms and two toilets was actually built with funds obtained through the Service Club Dream Auction in partnership with the local Kathmandu-based nonprofit Nepal One Day at a Time. Sambhav Nepal NGO.

The arena will be sold on Saturday, 9 a.m. until noon, at 5004 East Vernon Rd. Please wear a mask.
