Iranian missiles have hit an Israeli town that is home to the country’s top secret nuclear facility, which is home to its nuclear weapons arsenal. There were also injuries and deaths in the southern Israeli city of Arad. Iran said the attack on Dimona was in retaliation for an Israeli attack on the Natanz nuclear facility. Iran’s nuclear agency said the site had been attacked but there had been no release of radioactivity. Iran’s state news agency said: “The enemy has once again learned an unforgettable lesson. The missile attack on the Dimona area has once again sent a clear message: no area is safe from Iran’s missiles. The enemy must surrender before it’s too late.” The United Arab Emirates has reported many people injured in Iran’s latest missile attacks there. The UAE Ministry of Defense said it intercepted hundreds of missiles. Israel and the US have continued airstrikes on the Iranian capital Tehran, which the US Central Command said had damaged Iran’s ability to threaten shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. G7 foreign ministers have released a statement calling for an “immediate end” to Iranian aggression in the Gulf region.
