The final countdown to NASA’s Artemis II launch | BBC News

NASA is sending four people on a ten-day trip around the Moon on its Artemis II mission. The crew includes three NASA astronauts – Commander Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch – along with Jeremy Hansen of the Canadian Space Agency. They will be the first in more than 50 years to orbit the moon. It will lift off from the Kennedy Space Center launch site at 18:24 (23:24 BST) on Wednesday. The mission will take its astronauts further into space than any other, and aims to set the stage for the first human landing on the moon since the Apollo missions of the 1960s and 70s.
