Werner has scored four goals and three assists in his last three games and has nine goal contributions (four goals and five assists) in his first eight MLS matches.

Earl Edwards Jr. started – making his first appearance of the season – and made two saves, including a one-handed stop in the 11th minute. Edwards left with an injury and was replaced by starter Daniel de Souza Brito – known simply as “Daniel” – in the 24th minute.
