A 5.2 magnitude earthquake strikes the city of Masbate

MANILA, Philippines – A 5.2-magnitude earthquake shook Claveria district in Masbate region on Tuesday afternoon, with aftershocks expected, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

According to the Phivolcs bulletin, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 20 kilometers west of Claveria at 3:04 p.m. She added that the earthquake was tectonic in origin and was at a depth of 10 kilometers.

She also said that the third degree of severity has been recorded in Naga city. Meanwhile, the severity of the machines was recorded in the following areas:
