FedEx is operating a humanitarian relief flight to support earthquake recovery in Venezuela

MEMPHIS, Tennessee, July 20, 2026 – FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) provides its integrated air and ground network to provide humanitarian relief to those affected by the earthquake that devastated Venezuela. A dedicated humanitarian relief flight to Venezuela carries essential supplies provided by the Global Empowerment Mission (GEM). These supplies are expected to support about 10,000 people affected by the catastrophic earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24.

The shipment was transported on a FedEx Boeing 767 aircraft that departed from Miami International Airport and landed in Caracas, Venezuela on Sunday, July 19. This mission represents the first FedEx operation in Venezuela under recently authorized U.S. earthquake relief measures, and reflects the massive coordination required between humanitarian organizations, government authorities, and transportation providers to respond effectively in the wake of a natural disaster.

These kits will provide shelf-stable meals and help meet basic hygiene and sanitation needs that can become especially urgent when homes, facilities, and essential community services are damaged or disrupted. Each kit contains water, hydration powder, non-perishable foods and hygiene items that will be distributed to families and communities in La Guaira State, Venezuela.
