Sri Lanka: UK hardens travel notes – BBC News
The British government is recommending that all trips to Sri Lanka be exempted after the Easter Sunday bombings, which claimed the lives of at least 250 people. The Foreign Ministry said that terrorists are very likely to try to carry out non-discriminatory attacks, especially in places visited by foreigners. There are 8,000 British tourists in Sri Lanka at the moment, and urgent talks are underway between the government and the travel industry to help people return home.
