Swedish submarine builder Peter Madsen, who killed Swedish journalist Kim Wall, has been caught after trying to escape from prison. Photographs of that scene showed an armed policeman near a prison west of Copenhagen. Police said Madsen was released from prison after being threatened by a prison staff member and arrested a few minutes later. He was jailed for life for the murder of Kim Wall in 2017 for entering the submarine of his home for conversation. Her mutilated body was found on a beach by a promenade 11 days later. The news of Madsen’s escape was confirmed when a convicted murderer appeared against a cover-up with a belt around his waist on a street near the Albertslund prison.
