A slight tremor of 4.1 on the Richter scale was just reported at 54 km northeast of Bushehr, Iran

A 4.1 magnitude earthquake was reported just 21 minutes ago by the Iranian Seismological Center (IRSC), which is the main national agency monitoring seismic activity in Iran. The earthquake occurred 5 kilometers below the epicenter early in the morning of Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 3.11 am local time. The earthquake size, exact location, and earthquake depth are likely to be reviewed within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and improve their calculations, or as other agencies release their report. The United States Geological Survey (USGS), which listed it as a magnitude 4.1 earthquake as well, and based on preliminary seismic data, many people in the epicenter area may have felt the earthquake. It should not have caused much damage, other than dropping things from shelves, broken windows, etc. Towns or cities near the epicenter where the earthquake may have been felt as the very weak shaking includes Bandar e Gnaveh (population 52,800) located 96 km from the epicenter. A weak tremor was probably felt in Bushehr (population 165,400) located 54 km from the epicenter, and Kazrin (94,500 people) at 61 km. In Barazjan (population 86,100) the earthquake is located 21 km from the epicenter, which should have been slightly shaking.
