19. Covid: Boris Johnson feels ‘excellent’ when self-isolation begins – BBC News
Boris Johnson said he feels “great” in his first day of self-isolation on Downing Street – after meeting with a member of parliament who later tested positive for Covid-19. In a video Monday, he asked others to “follow the rules” and self-isolate by contacting NHS Test and Trace. The prime minister said he “pinged” on the project on Sunday. On Thursday, Johnson spent about 35 minutes with Conservative lawmaker Lee Anderson, and lost his taste the next day. The Prime Minister’s period of isolation is beginning to prepare the government for a policy of re-launching after the hardest internal queues and exits from No. 10. Downing Street said this week Johnson would set out some of his “critical announcements” about his “intentions with the UK”. Johnson will chair “key Covid meetings” and will work with Chancellor Rishi Sunak to review upcoming spending with a view to fulfilling the “better build” mandate. The Prime Minister will be working from the Downing Street home. Please subscribe HERE .
