Another 36 South Dakota people have died from COVID-19, according to the latest update from the state health department. 1,147 people have died in South Dakota from the Corona virus.

985 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Wednesday. Active cases are now in 16,148.

There are currently 501 patients with COVID-19 hospitalized in South Dakota.

South Dakota joins Texas v. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

The lawsuit filed by Texas Attorney General, Republican Ken Paxton, calls for annulment of the total 62 Electoral College votes in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

People in north-central South Dakota might have felt the ground shaking a little overnight.

The United States Geological Survey reported a 3.2 magnitude earthquake northwest of Podil in Edmonds County. The report says that the earthquake occurred around midnight.

There were no reports of damage at this time.

SculptureWalk founder and CEO at Sioux Falls announced his retirement on Wednesday.

Jim Clark has placed more than 800 sculptures in downtown Sioux Falls since the SculptureWalk debuted in 2004. Clark will retire after helping to replace him with the 2021 sculptures installation.
