Before taking office, National Security Advisor John Bolton said US policy should change Iran’s regime.

He and other Trump advisers have long denounced the cult of exile as an alternative to the Iranian government.

Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK) has been very active in propaganda for years, but is now influential to the highest degree.

They also have a hidden camp in Albania, Tirana, 30 km from the capital. .
